The doctoral degree in Sustainable Fisheries requires completion of a comprehensive exam, submission of a dissertation and a dissertation defense (PhD). In addition, a minimum of 30 graduate-level credits are required and must be taken for a grade, maintaining a GPA of at least 3.0. With a previous MS degree, a minimum of 13 graduate-level credits are required.

Requirements
Without previous MS degree: 30 hours of coursework With previous MS degree: 13 hours of coursework Students who have already completed an MS in the program are not required to take the core courses or electives again for the PhD. If you are entering the PhD as a new student, you can request to waive some coursework if you have taken similar courses at a previous university. With approval, up to 4 credits of 400-level courses may count toward the elective requirement. |
