Earth and Planetary Exploration Technology, Certificate

The minor in Earth and Planetary Exploration Technology (EPET) and the EPET undergraduate certificate cover aspects of space systems science and space technology including the design, build, and launch of science payloads, spacecraft subsystems and spacecraft. It emphasizes multidisciplinary approaches to address complex issues which are essential to successfully completing a space mission capstone project.

Requirements

Students must complete 16 credit hours of EPET or ME courses:

EPET 201 - Space Exploration Credits: 4
OR ME 201 - Space Exploration Credits: 4
EPET 301 - Space Science and Instrumentation Credits: 4
OR ME 301 - Space Science and Instrumentation Credits: 4
EPET 400 - Space Mission Design Credits: 4
OR ME 400 - Space Mission Design Credits: 4
EPET 401 - Capstone Project: Producing a Science Satellite Credits: 4
OR ME 401 - Capstone Project: Producing a Science Satellite Credits: 4
