Education - Kinesiology Concentration, PhD

Kinesiology prepares professionals to work as leaders in a broad range of fields, including, physical activity, adapted physical activity athletic training (BOC), and applied biomechanics. This discipline is based in the biological and physical sciences as well as in education. This foundation will be reinforced via coursework, research, clinical/practical experiences in teaching, supervision, and mentorship experiences in the two areas specified above. The number of required credit hours depends on qualifications. Students complete courses required by the college and the program, electives specific to a chosen area of emphasis, a field project/internship or an apprenticeship in college teaching, and a dissertation.
