Requirements

Certificates recognize successful completion of a minimum of 15 credits of approved courses with a grade of C or better. A minimum GPA of 2.5 will be required.

Up to 6 credit hours may be of RUS 200-level

RUS 201 - Intermediate Russian Credits: 3
RUS 202 - Intermediate Russian Credits: 3
RUS 260 - Intensive Intermediate Russian Abroad Credits: V
OR
RUS 209 - Russian Phonetics Credits: 3

At least 9 credit hours of RUS 300+ courses

one of which may be an LLEA course in English on a Russian topic:

LLEA 350 - Russian Short Story Credits: 3
LLEA 351 - 19th-Century Russian Literature Credits: 3
LLEA 352 - Russian Literature 1900—1950 Credits: 3
LLEA 353 - Russia: Between Europe & Asia Credits: 3
LLEA 354 - Russia: Faces of Asia Credits: 3
LLEA 355 - Russian Film Credits: 3

Notes:

Double-dipping between H/SL courses and certificate requirements is allowed. CR/NC and Back Credits do count toward the certificate.
