Students must take placement exams to be able to register for CHEM 161 .
Students must incorporate all focus requirements into this plan. Focus designations (i.e., W, E, O, H) are CRN specific & semester specific.
Minimum 45 upper division (300+ course) credits are required.
Upon approval of a BOT advisor and the Chair, students may include courses from other departments to accommodate a special emphasis or interdisciplinary program that is appropriate for a major in Botany.
Approved substitutions for the physics requirement (PHYS 100 /PHYS 100L ): PHYS 151 /PHYS 151L  or PHYS 170 /PHYS 170L .
Students must earn a grade of C (not C-) or higher in each course applied to the major, including the required courses in biology, chemistry, and physics.
