ERTH 623 - Introduction to Earth and Planetary Geophysics

Credits: 4

Introductory geophysics course integrating theory, data analysis, and field methods to study Earth, planetary, and solar dynamics. Methods of seismology, gravity, geodesy, and electromagnetism, with field applications in tectonics, geomorphology, archeology, volcanism, and hydrology.

Prerequisites: ERTH 250  and MATH 242  and PHYS 272 ; or equivalents.
Grade Option: A-F only.
Frequency of Course (when offered): Spring only.
