(2 Lec, 1 2-hr Lab) Introduction to anisotropic materials, advanced manufacturing techniques for composite and intelligent materials, joining of composites, thin film processing and stereolithography, computer aided manufacturing and rapid prototyping, manufacturing process optimization, open-ended manufacturing projects.
Prerequisites: ME 341 , and senior standing; or consent.
