ERTH 632 - Geophysics-Gravity, Magnetics, and Heat Transfer

Credits: 3

Fundamental theory and practical applications of the use of gravity, magnetics, and heat conduction to probing the structure of the Earth; heat transfer via mantle convection is a major control on Earth’s internal structure.

Prerequisites: (with a minimum grade of B-) for PHYS 170 , PHYS 272 , and MATH 307  or ERTH 312  (or equivalent).
