ERTH 300 - Physical Volcanology

Credits: 3

Volcanic eruptions and their consequences. Includes models for volcanic eruptions including explosive eruptions and lava flows, monitoring of active volcanoes, evaluation and impacts of volcanic hazards, and mitigation of volcanic risk. Field trips. Normally fall. ERTH and GEOL majors or consent.

Prerequisites: (ERTH 200  or ERTH 201 ) with a minimum grade of B or consent.
