BE 260 - Mass and Energy Balances

Credits: 3

Introduction of the principles of mass and energy conservation; development of systematic approaches to apply these principles in calculations for design and analysis of biochemical, chemical, and physical processes.

Prerequisites: (BIOL 171 , CHEM 162  or CHEM 171  or CHEM 181A , PHYS 170 , and MATH 242  or MATH 252A ) with a minimum grade of C-; or consent.
Diversification Requirements: DP
